At 0418 hours, Truck 27
was alerted to respond to a 2-Alarm house fire on West Main Street,
Franklin County. Crews from Longmeadow arrived to find two houses
well off. They worked to perform ventilation and interior attack.
During the interior attack, the truck crew assisted with the rescue of a
downed Franklin Country firefighter. Once the blaze was brought
under control, crews assisted with overhaul. Truck 27 cleared the
scene at 0808 hours. The downed firefighter suffered no major
injuries.

At 1138 hours, units
from Longmeadow were alerted for a personal injury accident at the
intersection of Leitersburg Pike and Longmeadow Road. Lt Eckstine
arrived to find a two vehicle accident with one vehicle partially blocking
the roadway. Crews from Longmeadow worked quickly to move all
patients out of their vehicles. One priority 2 patient was
transported by Paramedic 75-2 to Washington County Hospital. Crews
then controlled traffic and removed all debris, clearing the scene at 1212
hours.
