At 0523 hours, units from
Longmeadow were dispatched for a personal injury accident with
entrapment in the 20000 block of Old Forge Road. Engine 3 arrived
on scene first advising of one vehicle into a utility pole with a
priority one entrapment. Lieutenant 27 arrived on scene and
established Old Forge Road command. Both Rescue Squad 75 and
Rescue Engine 27-2 were utilized for the extrication of the patient, as
the roof of the vehicle had to be removed. Medic 75 transported
the patient to Washington County Hospital. Units cleared the scene
in a little over an hour.
