At 1113 hours, Truck 27 was alerted
to assist Franklin County, Company 3, Greencastle with a working house
fire. The crew of Truck 27 arrived and worked in the living room and
kitchen areas to extinguish the fire. The crew moved on to perform
ventilation on the exterior of the house to prevent the fire from
spreading further. After roof conditions worsened, the crew moved
back to the interior of the house. Firefighters were pulled out of
the structure prior to extinguishment.
Longmeadow was alerted for a
rekindle at this location but was cancelled enroute.
