At 1750 hours, units from Longmeadow
were alerted for a train derailment on Eastern Blvd. Units arrived
to find a CSX train from Hagerstown enroute to Hanover, PA. Seven
train cars had derailed, four of them were overturned and three were
upright. Company 27 personnel determined the contents of the train
to be non-hazardous and ensured scene safety. Units cleared at 1941
hours.

At 2312 hours, units from
Longmeadow were alerted for a PIA reported "Head-On" at Eastern Blvd and
Jefferson Blvd. HFD Engine 3 arrived first and reported 3 patients,
two entrapped and one ejected. Lieutenant Martin arrived on scene and
established Command 27, requesting second and third due Medic Units, as well
as the second due Rescue Squad. Personnel from Company 27 assisted
with vehicle stabilization, extrication, EMS and hazard control. Three
medic units from Company 75 transported two priority one and one priority
two patient. Remaining units cleared at 0021 hours.

At 1202 hours, units from Longmeadow
were alerted to assist Leitersburg Fire with a working van fire in front
of 20315 Leitersburg Pike. Company 27 personnel extinguished the
fire and preformed overhaul functions. Units cleared at 1235 hours.

At 0140 hours, units from Longmeadow
were alerted for a PIA in front of 1015 Jefferson Blvd. HFD Engine 3
arrived first advising one car into the rear of a garbage truck.
Personnel from Company 27 assisted with EMS care and hazard control.
Medic 75 transported one priority 2 and one priority 3. Units
cleared at 0231 hours.
