At 0858 hours, Longmeadow was alerted to assist Maugansville with a chimney fire on Weaver Avenue.  It was determined that the fire was contained to the chimney and crews removed the woodstove insert.  The fire was extinguished utilizing the Chimney Snuffer, chimney bombs and a dry chemical extinguisher.  Units cleared at 1056 hours.

At 1319 hours, Longmeadow was alerted to assist Leitersburg with a chimney fire on Winding Creek Road.  Initial reports of possible fire in the walls completed the box as units investigated.  After further investigation, it was determined the fire was contained to the chimney and the Chimney Snuffer off of Truck 27 was utilized for extinguishment.  Units cleared shortly after 1500 hours.
