At 1830 units from Longmeadow were alerted for a personal injury
accident with a rollover on Eastern Blvd. Units arrived to find
two vehicles involved, one still in the roadway, the other on it's side
off the roadway. One priority two patient was transported by
Company 75. Company 27 personnel cleared debris and went available
at 1919.

At 0916 units from Longmeadow were alerted for a Multi-Vehicle
Personal Injury Accident at the intersection of Leitersburg Pike and
Meadowview Drive. Units arrived to find 3 vehicles involved and
still in the roadway. Company 27 personnel assisted with patient
care of three priority 3 patients, cleaned up debris and went in service
at 1009.

At 2032, units from Longmeadow along with units
from Hagerstown and Funkstown were dispatched for multiple buildings on
fire in the area of Creek Road. Heavy smoke and fire could be seen
by all approaching units from miles away. Units arrived to find the old
Hagerstown Paint & Glass warehouse complex heavily involved in
fire. Lt Eckstine immediately established command and called for a
second alarm. Crews made a quick entry and search, then pulled out and a
defensive operation was employed. The fire has been declared arson by
the Maryland State Fire Marshal's office. Units from Longmeadow cleared
around 0300. Fire may be connected to house fire on Needy's lane,
7.9.02.

At 1916, a house fire was pre-alerted on Needy's
Lane in
Longmeadow's first due area. Units arrived to find a small vacant two-story house well off and fire blowing out of all
windows. Under the direction of Lieutenant Eckstine, two teams
worked to extinguish the fire from the first floor and basement. The
fire was knocked down quickly and then followed by extensive overhaul
operations. Maryland State Fire Marshals are investigating the
incident. Units cleared at approximately 2317.
