At 1547 Longmeadow was alerted for a house fire on
Hepplewhite Circle. Chief Latimer arrived on scene with heavy fire
showing from the garage with extension into the two story home.
Two 1.5" attack lines were placed in service, on in the garage and the
other on the first floor to handle extension. Additional crews
handled roof ventilation, utility control, and a search of the structure
which came back negative. Command 27 advised Washington County
Dispatch that the fire was knocked down within twenty minutes of
arrival. Maryland State Fire Marshall 22 found the cause of the
fire to be a malfunctioning Nissan Sedan parking in the garage shortly
before the fire was discovered. Units cleared around 1830 hours.
